Packaging information for your Clara and Macy orders
All of our orders are made and packaged by our small family business in our Altrincham studio.
Almost all of our packaging is fully recyclable and we're working on the rest. Here is some detail on our packaging at the moment. Check back for updates as we improve and change our offering...
CARDBOARD BOXES & ENVELOPES
All of the cardboard we use is FSC certified and can be fully recycled, composted, or re-used. We try to re-use as many boxes as possible, so your order may arrive in a pre-loved box.
PACKING PEANUTS
The packing peanuts protecting your order are amazing!
They are made from puffed starch, and can be re-used, composted, or you can completely dissolve them in warm water. This is a super fun science experiment to do with the kids!
TAPE
Our tape is made from paper and can be fully recycled with your box.
TISSUE PAPER & PAPER WRAP
Most orders come wrapped in tissue paper or protective paper wrap. These are both acid free and fully recyclable.
PAPER GOODS
Our thank you cards, stickers, and dispatch notes are all printed on fully recycled paper, which can be recycled again or composted.
POSTAL TUBES
Our postal tubes are made from FSC certified cardboard and can be fully recycled, composted, or reused. They're triangular shaped to protect your treasures inside, so make brilliant craft materials for little ones after you've finished with it.
PADDED ENVELOPES
Our only packaging item to contain any plastic, are our padded envelopes. But, you'll be pleased to know that they're made with recycled plastic linings - which can be removed and recycled again. Please re-use them if you can before recycling, to give them an even longer life.
PROTECTIVE WRAP
We don't use bubble wrap in your orders, we used a brilliantly clever honeycomb style paper wrap instead. It protects our more delicate products and like our boxes can be recycled, composted, or reused.
REUSE & RECYCLE
We have some great creative ideas and projects to help you re-use your packaging and turn it into something full of imagination!
Find out more on our Reuse & Recycle page and on our Blog, where you'll find all kinds of fun craft projects to make using your old packaging.
