day fifteen - august boredom busting

We've got something a little bit different for day fifteen. It's time to head to the kitchen and pop your apron on. Today's boredom busting idea is to bake some flapjacks.

This recipe is dairy, soya, egg, nut & gluten free because our kids have a whole bundle of allergies but LOVE flapjacks! But you can adapt it if you don't need to be allergy conscious.

To make banana and raisin flapjacks you will need...

~ 40g sunflower spread

~ 60g demerara sugar

~ 1 tbsp golden syrup

~ 1 tbsp honey

~ 225g gluten free porridge oats

~ 50g raisins

~ 2 medium bananas

Melt the butter and add the sugar, golden syrup and honey. Mix well. Roughly mash the bananas and add them into the mixture along with the raisins. Mix in the oats and pour into a greaseproof paper lined baking tray. Ours was about 15x20cm. Flatten the mixture before popping the tray into the oven. Bake at 200˚C for approx. 15-20 mins. Remove when they are slightly browned. Slice up whilst warm.

Voila! An extremely yummy but not too naughty Monday afternoon treat.
